ING Advisors Network Signs Agreement with StatementOne

Lawrenceville, NJ - February 1, 2001 - ING Advisors Network, a subsidiary of ING Group's U.S. Retail Financial Services division, can now offer its independent financial advisors a comprehensive, Internet-based consolidated statement platform through an agreement with StatementOne (www.statementone.com), an industry leader in web-based financial data aggregation and consolidated performance reporting.

"This new, powerful performance reporting tool enables our financial advisors to better service their customers with complete financial advice, allowing the customer to be a smarter, more efficient investor," says Brian Nygaard, president of ING Advisors Network.

The agreement includes the integration of StatementOne's proprietary consolidation and performance statement platform within four of the independent broker/dealers in the ING Advisors Network: Locust Street Securities, Inc., Multi-Financial Securities Corp., IFG Network Securities, Inc. and VESTAX Securities Corp.

"The bottom line for me is simple-the more time I spend selling, the better off I am," says Eric Pettis, a Harrisburg, PA-based financial advisor who is licensed with Locust Street Securities and currently uses the StatementOne service. "I've been using another time-intensive method to consolidate information for years.

Generating a single report meant making at least four phone calls and entering data on the computer that could take up to an hour. The StatementOne product gives me the extra time to be more productive."

StatementOne.com is powered by a data processing system known as the Financial Data Network (FDN), which securely gathers, cleans and stores diverse transactional level financial data comprehensively from numerous data custodians, including the ING Advisors Network's clearing firm, Pershing. The system performs its functions without the aid of manual or advisor-level data gathering as is often needed with other portfolio management and screen-scraping systems. As a result, StatementOne.com offers the independent broker/dealer industry's leading comprehensive, Internet-based consolidated statement platform.

The Web application allows users to dynamically run reports for an individual investor or any number of household members. The application generates real-time, AIMR*- compliant, daily time-weighted returns.
